About Me

It's weird writing a bio for a site that I plan on sharing with a bunch of people who already know who I am. However, what little I know about making websites up to this point leads me to believe it's an obligation to have it somewhere just in case. So that's how we got here!

The intent behind elleby.me may not make a lot of sense to people, especially considering that at the time of writing this, I've made three posts including questionable life advice and a cookie recipe. What is Colin up to? Is he trying to become an influencer? Did he quit fishing?! This doesn't seem like him at all...

The fact is I don't have a full plan right now other than I'm exploring the world of web development and a personal page is a great way to keep track of the projects I'm working on and share them with others. I don't plan on "blogging", but there will be some of that since it is a good way for me to test out basic skills that I'm learning over time. Although it seems like a bit of a new identity for me, it's essentially just an add-on of who I am today.

I arrived at this point by realizing that my desire to build and create things was frustrating me more than fueling me. I always seemed to be flooded with ideas for new things, but it's nearly impossible to make a prototype when the only hours of the day you have to build it is between 4am-6am or 9pm-10pm. Most of the time, the ideas came and went, and I was wondering why I couldn't break through.

Enter "web development", something I know nothing about, but can learn with the little coding experience that I have. I can still "build" things, and since it's silent, I can build them during those hours of the day that previously went unused. I feel like this is something that could help me express some of my creativity and interests in a way that I couldn't really explore before.

I'm hoping that this new adventure will help me grow in multiple ways, specifically by:

Harnessing my:
Improving my:

I'm planning on sticking with this for awhile to see where it takes me! Maybe I'll update the bio at some point, but hopefully that explains more about me and the purpose behind elleby.me.

If you got to the end, thanks for reading this! Now get off your phone and get after it! (*says the guy typing at the computer*)
